Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Akari website (www.akaribooths.ca) or engaging our roaming photo robot rental services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Services

Akari provides roaming photo robot rental services for events, including but not limited to weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, galas, and trade shows in Toronto and the GTA. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Akari.

Bookings and Payment

• A deposit is required to secure your event date. Your date is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
• The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Deposits are non-refundable unless Akari cancels the booking.
• Pricing is confirmed at the time of booking and is subject to change for future bookings.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Client cancellations — Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event forfeit the full balance.
• Rescheduling — You may reschedule your event to a new date, subject to availability, at no charge if notice is given at least 14 days in advance. Deposits transfer to the new date.
• Akari cancellations — In the unlikely event we must cancel, you will receive a full refund of all payments made.

Event Requirements

You agree to provide a safe and accessible environment for our equipment and staff. This includes:

• Adequate floor space for the robot to navigate (minimum 2-foot pathways)
• Ensuring the venue is accessible and that venue staff are aware of our presence
• Notifying us of any venue-specific rules, restrictions, or insurance requirements at least 7 days prior to the event

Akari is not liable for any inability to operate resulting from venue restrictions not disclosed in advance.

Photography and Image Rights

• Photos taken at your event are owned by your guests (the individuals photographed).
• By booking Akari, you grant us permission to use event photos for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes, unless you notify us in writing prior to the event that you do not wish us to do so.
• We will never share identifiable images of individuals without reasonable expectation that the individuals consented to being photographed in a public or semi-public event setting.

Limitation of Liability

Akari will make every effort to deliver the agreed services. However, in the event of equipment failure, unforeseen circumstances, or force majeure events (including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, or public emergencies), our liability is limited to a refund of the amount paid for the affected service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

Damage to Equipment

You are responsible for any damage to Akari equipment caused by guests or venue conditions during your event. Damage assessments will be communicated promptly and invoiced at cost of repair or replacement.

Use of This Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
• Transmit unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its related systems

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and design — is the property of Akari and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
